I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to process emotional experiences and to navigate life’s challenges, with a caring and compassionate approach to therapy. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, stress and life changes/transitions are among the many issues that can inhibit positive functioning in daily life and interpersonal relationships.
My integrative approach meets clients where they are and builds on the strengths they already have, to develop strategies for better coping, to gain insight, and to facilitate positive change. I offer individual, family, and couples counseling to adults, adolescents, and school-aged children with warmth and respect, regardless of race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or gender identity. I engage in trauma-informed and resiliency focused interventions drawing from varied approaches including ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness concepts.
Perhaps more importantly, I work to identify and incorporate client values, beliefs, and spirituality to personalize treatment and improve outcomes. My hope is that by helping clients gain insight and facilitate personal growth, we can work together to increase awareness of the impact of trauma and mental health issues, improve relationships, and advocate to build strong individuals, families, and communities.
